Sexual misconduct can have a devastating impact on patients, healthcare providers and staff members, and healthcare organizations. Establishing strategies to mitigate risk exposure is crucial. This program explores how sexual misconduct is defined, discusses the importance of professional boundaries, and highlights behaviors that cross those boundaries. Risk mitigation strategies, such as using chaperones and proactively establishing investigative and reporting processes, also are addressed.
