ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dr. Kent Bottles has held a number of leadership positions in academia, biotechnology, and community health systems. At the University of California, San Francisco, the University of Iowa, Allegheny University of Health Sciences, and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, he has served as tenured professor, chair, medical director of managed care, corporate operations officer for ambulatory services, assistant dean, residency director, designated institutional officer, and elected medical school executive committee member. Dr. Bottles served as president of the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) and as chief medical officer of the Iowa Health System, a $2 billion integrated community health system in the Midwest.
He received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his M.D. from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
Jacob serves as Executive Vice President over Business Development at The Medicus Firm, where their company’s focus is providing permanent recruitment solutions for healthcare organizations. Mr. Simon has an extensive background in the recruiting industry where he specializes in consulting on healthcare provider needs and recruitment strategies. In his time at The Medicus Firm, Jacob has worked in nearly every state to help client’s find their desired healthcare providers and his passion has always been connecting people. His involvement in business development, training, and strategy has contributed to The Medicus Firm becoming an industry leader in physician recruitment and consulting. Prior to beginning his career in the physician recruiting industry, Jacob served for 4 years as the National Recruiting Coordinator for Northwestern State University football program and their recruitment of student-athletes. His experience allows him to work closely with management and internal recruiting staffs to evaluate and provide marketing insight beneficial for strategic planning.
